Safety First, Last and Always
Safety is an integral part of our corporate culture. It is part of our day-to-day business because we believe that the safety of our employees is not to be compromised. Our commitment to safety is derived from our commitment to people.
As hazardous as construction projects are, risks can be managed and mitigated by a team that is well versed in safety standards and protocols. That’s why our workforce is trained extensively in safety to the extent it applies to their respective roles. By deploying the latest tools, techniques and strategies in worksite safety, we strive to make sure that every single employee goes home safe and sound every evening.
In recognition for our adherence to the most stringent Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards, Contraco is certified to OSHAS 18001:2007 standards. The implementation of the HSE program is led by the safety department, which works to enhance the safety awareness of our staff, labor, subcontractors, and suppliers because we believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain a safe work environment.
Going Beyond the Cliche
Quality has become one of the most overused corporate buzzwords in the past decades. But real quality does exist, and it is marked by a nonstop attention to detail in every aspect of product and service. Our assertion of delivering to the highest quality is backed by dozens of real-world examples that bear out our claim. One look at even our oldest projects will make it evident that we have always been a company that cherishes quality.
Contraco was awarded the ISO 9001 certification in July 2011. But what we’re really proud of is the satisfaction that we have brought all of our clients, and the fact that so many of them have been coming back to work with us for years and decades. That is our real proof of quality
Doing Our Bit for the Planet
Building to high sustainability standards is still a nascent field in Qatar. Even so, Contraco is capable of building for LEED certification if the brief demands it. In fact, we have already begun work on buildings designed and built to satisfy LEED standards.
In addition, we believe little actions can have huge collective impact, which is why we make environmental awareness part of our everyday routine at Contraco. Frivolous printing is discouraged, documents and memos are distributed and consumed digitally as far as possible, water and electricity is carefully conserved at every juncture by all employees.
After all, we all only have one home – Earth. And it’s up to each one of us to keep it clean and healthy.
